Sidney has a new jump coach and is doing two lessons a week right now. She is super inspired and this coach is amazing. She is teaching Sid all kinds of technical things, both in her own riding and in her support of Pigeon over the jumps. There is so much more to jumping than just guts and hanging on, though that is where it all starts. Sidney was thinking that we needed a couple more sets of jump stands for the ranch. I found a pattern online that looked very easy. We headed to Lowes for supplies and got to work. We started them and got them completed in one afternoon. It went remarkably well, with both of us working together.
My coworker asked me how many tools I had to buy in the process. Ironically, none. The larger drill and bit that I had to buy for the franken-tree awhile back came in handy. I honestly did not think I would ever have used for that drill and bit again, but it was exactly what we needed. Sidney pre-drilled all of the holes and my dad came over to help us out with the big drill.
They turned out so nice! We used both glue and screws on the base, so hopefully they will stay together.
