Family Pictures.

I do not even know what to say about these pictures, other than they are breathtaking.  Emily Gammon Photography did such an amazing job of making us all look good.  She also captured the bond that we share with one another.  I am in awe!

Doggy Hugs.

I found Kendall giving each of the dogs hugs on the bathroom floor one evening.  Bailey things he is a lap dog!

Bella is still not so sure about this hugging situation.

I love this picture of Bella.  The dogs seem to love looking out this window!

The Needle.

Spring break was great.  Kendall had back to back competitions before we left.  I could not help but slip this picture in, as she has been working hard and finally got her 'needle'.

Her team has been doing fantastic at competitions.  Their instructors have pushed them hard and their work is paying off.  It has been so much fun to see their skill grow!

Vacation Part 4 - All the Other Things.

One of the days, we rented a Surry and rode up and down the boardwalk.  The girls each took a turn at driving.  I am not sure which is worse, teaching your children to drive a car or a surrey on a crowded boardwalk!

We went into a shop that had the most beautiful rocks and crystals.  Check out Kendall's wings.

My mom asked for pictures, so we did not disappoint with these goofy pics.

Oh and the fruity drinks.  We enjoyed some cocktails (and mocktails) in the harbor.  The girls thought they were full on partying.  It was a blast!

Vacation Part 3 - The Beach.

Oh the beach.  My absolute favorite!!!  My sister and I took long walks almost every day.  It was so glorious!  This is my sister and I just moments after dropping our bags off.  Yes, we are here!

I took this picture that my sister posted on social media.  She got multiple comments that it looked like an album cover.

One of the days, my friend Vicki came down to visit.  She and I were in the military together.  We used to hang out, go to clubs and concerts together and try our hand at surfing.  Vicki brought two of her long boards down for us to play around on.  I love friends that you can go without seeing for years and pick right back up with.

I believe Sidney would be a surfer girls if we lived in Cali.

Our youth pastor's daughter Hazel is battling cancer.  The girls drew this in the sand and sent a picture to them.

One evening, at sunset, Kendall went to the beach to practice her aerial.  I took a few pictures of her messing around.

There was a rock pier that we walked out on.  It was so beautiful.

Vacation Part 2 - Zoo.

We spent a day at the San Diego Zoo.  We got there when it opened.  As we walked through the gates, I spotted one of the greeters and asked him if we should do the bus tour of the park first.  He was an older gentlemen and gave us all kinds of pro tips.  He recommended the bus tour in the afternoon, when we were tired.  He drew us a walking map with numbered stops.  His map took us to the large animals first.  He said all of those animals would go in for shelter after about 1pm.  we followed his instructions and got some amazing views and photos as our reward.

We took a couple stops for food and treats.  By the end of the day, Kendall's watch said we had walked over 17,000 steps (7ish miles).

Kendall was enamored with the hippos.  Fun fact - hippos do not swim.  They walk along the bottom and buoy up to the top.  They will glide, but the do not swim.

We took the gondola over the park several times.

View from the top.  You almost cannot see there is a zoo below.

In the end, we did enjoy the bus ride.  It was a day well spent!
