Harper Ann, Welcome to the World.

Hallie gave birth to Harper on June 30th.  It was a very long day, but Harper made her debut.  She is a bundle of cuteness!

Stephanie ad Jason are grandparents.  That sounds so old!

My mom and dad are great grandparents.  That sounds even older!!!

I got to enjoy some Harper snuggles as well.

I realized I had no pictures of Hallie and Jonny so they sent these along.  They have all been settling in nicely.  Harper is a good baby and Hallie and Jonny are loving every minute, even the late night ones (it is still new:)).

Junk Drawer - June 2026.

The June drunk drawer for all of the things that did not fit somewhere else.  We decided to take in the movie Michael.  It was SO good.  Highly recommended.  I remember dancing to ALL the songs.  Michael was one of my absolute favorites.

Sidney has a new favorite go to bagel sandwich.  It is pretty delicious.

Dad and I catching a round of golf.  Does that man ever have a normal picture face?

One of my shots managed to hit the 150 stake and bounce back 20 yards.  GRR.   Why can't I hit the flag pin and drop down into the hole instead?

Claire, Sidney and I rode the bikes to Reed's for ice cream.  Of course, we got a flat somewhere along the way.  Such is life.

Don't Forget the Kittens.

Kendall always sends me pictures of Crispy and Desi for the blog, so here it is.

Apparently Crispy likes cardboard boxes as well.

Such a hard life for Desi.  I think she won the lottery with Kendall.

Desi is intent on stealing some of Kendall's ice cream.

Sleepy kitty.

Desi determining she does not want her ears cleaned.

Hot Summer Days with Sid.

I do not think one should be holding this smoke bomb in their hands?  At least they lived to tell about it.

Bible study in the park.

Get those tongues back in!  My least favorite teenage trend.

Enjoying some time on the boat with friends.

Pool time!

Promposals and Paddle Boarding.

Kendall showed up at work one day to find this on the board.  Which one do you think she is?

Diego is a very good cook.  I think I should invite him over more to cook for me:).

Kendall enjoyed some paddle boarding and sunshine with friends.  I love where we live!

Kendall got two new piercings for her stack.

A beautiful Dutch sunset.

More good food.  This is actually a delicious bagel from the Montana trip she took.

Diego uses his hair as art.  Kendall has learned how to color it for him.  Here are two of his recent looks.

Dutch is having a big employee prom.  Diego showed up at work to invite Kendall to prom with him.  She is super excited as this will be her first prom/promposal.  More to come on this one.

When your adult daughter is not feeling well and asks to come over for a soak in the bathtub, the answer is yes.  Only I stayed far away, so I really did not even get to visit her.  Apparently the bubble bath worked on overdrive.

Kendall took some of the bubbles and tossed them in the shower, before getting in.  Willow was fascinated.

Also while Kendall was super sick, she wanted a milkshake to help her feel better, but managed to spill it all over herself and her car.  Gah!

Vancouver Island Road Trip.

Sidney and her friends have been planning a road trip to Vancouver Island for months.  They met Tessa last year at camp in Hawaii, and she lives on Vancouver Island.  The plan was that Claire and Sidney would drive up there and spend a week and watch Tessa graduate from high school.  Parker and Tessa would meet up with them and they would all travel home together.

Sidney and Claire decided to take a little detour to North Idaho to visit my sister.  She took them on a hike around Tubbs Hill.

They met up with the rest of the family for dinner and had a great time catching up with everyone.  Jason kept calling Claire 'Gretchen' and apparently it stuck.  That 'Gretchen' sure is a nice girl.

The next day they drove across the border to Vancouver and had a couple hours to kill before they had to board the car ferry to the island.  I guess it was the same day that Canada was competing in the World Cup and the city was abuzz.  Sidney said everyone was out on the streets dressed in red and white.

They had a wonderful week venturing around the island.

Sidney caught a purple starfish.

She fell in love with Tim Hortons.  Honestly, I think this is analogous to In-n-Out.  Is it really that good or is it just a cult classic?

I am happy to report they all made it back safe and sound and had an amazing time!

Father's Day.

Sidney was out of town for Father's Day.  Kendall and I traveled up to the cemetery for a visit.  We told Kevin all about our antics and wondered if he was just shaking his head at us.  What would he think of our lives today?  So much has changed since he has been gone.

HOSA Indianapolis.

Sidney had the opportunity to attend the HOSA Nationals in Indianapolis. It was a week long trip with other students from Idaho and their instructor chaperones.

The girls stayed four to a room and participated in the conference as well as explored the city.  They attended a WNBA Fever game.  The irony is that a week later, Sophie Cunningham became famous with her pointer finger and Sid remembered her from the game.

I was personally astonished that Sid could actually recognize her from these nose bleed seats, but they sure had a good time!

The HOSA conference also had a college meet and greet exhibit hall.  They got tons of swag and some of it came in handy with the rainy weather when they first arrived.

The rain did not last the entire time.  They also ventured out to some of the museums and sights.

This is the Borah delegate in their HOSA Professional uniforms.  They look so dapper!

They had a crazy early flight home, but got to enjoy the beautiful sunrise.
