Tie-Dye Party.

We have had some beautiful, albeit, hot days in June.  The girls and I decided to take advantage of one of those gorgeous mornings by tie dying some t-shirts outside.  I would say that none of us knew what we were doing, but we had fun nonetheless.

Hummingbirds and Roses.

We will start with the roses.  These are from my yard.  Simply gorgeous!

I know I had mentioned the hummingbird nest.  Well, I am obsessed.  Really, I think my entire family might be obsessed watching this little momma do her thing.  She has taken to sitting on the nest more frequently.  She has a flight path that she does between the nests and the two feeders fending off any other hummingbirds that cross her path.

I really wish there was a space to mount a go pro to get a look inside the nest.  So far, I have not seen or heard anything, so I would assume the eggs have not hatched yet?

Here she is camping out on top of the feeder.

June Celebrations.

I took another trip around the sun this year.  One more year until I hit the big 5-0.  My goodness, I do not feel a day over 30, unless I move.  We had a nice celebration dinner at my mom's with a delicious cake and homemade sugar cookies.

Terrell has a friend that is an artist.  She had this watercolor sketch done of Sidney horseback riding and gave me the sketch for my birthday.  She is having another one made of Kendall in her dance outfit as well.  Kermit (the artist) did an amazing job of capturing the detail.

We celebrated Father's Day last weekend.  The girls each did a tribute to Kevin on Instagram.  We sure miss him!

I did my once yearly try at BBQing for my Dad.  We had steak, pork chops and plenty of side salads.  My sister had me pick up a lemon meringue pie for Dad.  One thing about him, you can never get a serious picture!

Me prying his hands away from his face for a picture.

It was a warm, beautiful afternoon.  We spent most of it outside relaxing.

The girls tried their hand at climbing the tree.  It has been a couple of years since they have worked their way up the branches.  They still have not lost their touch.

Dance Recital.

Kendall has been working hard in her lyrical dance class and enjoying every moment of it.  However, she was feeling a bit anxious not knowing if she was vaccinated.  So, we called her vaccine study group doctor and had her unblinded.  We found out she was fully vaccinated.  This gave her a lot of comfort, as she was getting more involved in dance and planning to attend two weeks of camp this summer.

We had the joy of watching her perform her dance this June.  She did an absolutely amazing job.  It was hard to believe that she had joined late in the season and only had two month of practice under her belt.  She is looking forward to adding more classes in the fall!

McCall Getaway.

A few months ago, I booked a trip to McCall.  At the time, no one seemed super excited about it.  However as the day approached, we all became increasingly excited.  McCall has never disappointed.  I think we all needed the time to decompress.  We spent a lot of time at the lake, especially at sunset.  It is breathtaking.

We each tried out 'fancy' poses.

I must say, doing a headstand on a moving dock is no small feat.

I love this place!!!

The girls bought Chacos.  Crazy, ridiculous - Glad is was there money and not mine.

I bought this very sensible hat.  I absolutely loved the saying.  It was a toss up between "No Vacancies" and "We're Full".

The girls TRIED with all their might to convince me that we needed to bring home this kitty.  Hard NO.

We ate delicious food!

We spent a ton of time in the pool and hot tub.

I even managed to get a daily workout in.

We enjoyed the great outdoors.  Here is the view from our dining room one morning while I was drinking coffee.

The girls found the fort that they claim they helped construct a few years back.

We even managed to squeeze in watching all three Pitch Perfect movies.  It was a great to spend some special time with one another.

Shenanigans.

It has been a fun start to the summer.  I reseeded the backyard, and we have been keeping Bailey off it, in order to give it a fighting chance of growing.  So far, it is doing great.  I am super thankful that the girls have been helping with the lawn mowing.  It helps when we all work together!  Here is the yard after they mowed it for the week.

Our backyard is truly an oasis.  I love hanging out back there.

Sidney had noticed a hummingbird that kept flying from one of our gutters to the Ash tree.  After watching this for days, I decided to take a closer peak near the gutter.  Amazingly, I saw this hummingbird nest built on one of our patio string lights.  How awesome is that? I would love to climb up on the ladder and take a peak inside, but I am afraid to disturb anything.

My sister is re-doing her entire house from paint to flooring to trim, etc.  She had jokingly asked me to come up and help.  I decided to take her up on that.  I flew up for a few days Memorial Day weekend.  Kendall had went to Camp Pinewood and Sidney stayed with my parents.  I adore the girls more than anything, though having a few days apart was good for our souls.

My mom took Sidney yard sale shopping, and they came across this awesome score.  Sid knew I had been looking for some additional tins for my new shelves above the refrigerator.  She bought the whole lot...$4.  Serious score!

The Monday we all returned was Memorial Day.  My Uncle Steve was here visiting.  My dad and I went golfing with him.  Sid came along and drove the cart for me.

Jason and Steph bought me this adorable golf shirt when I was up there helping them with their house.  We had taken a break to eat dinner at Twin Lakes Golf Course.  I love it!

I cannot remember where I was, but my parents took Sid to Eh Capa.  It may have been the Friday before Memorial Day when I was up North.  Kendall went along for the ride and jumped right in helping with the horses.

The girls' friends had ballet recitals last weekend.  We were fortunate to receive an invite.  It was so beautiful to watch.  We are in the countdown to Kendall's recital.  Though I must say the whole thing has me a wreck.  It seems huge and daunting.  I still do not have my tickets.  Apparently they were supposed to be at dress rehearsal.  Not so much.  I am a planner.  This is not helping:).
