'All of These Strange Numbers are Calling Me.'

This is one for the record books.  The other day, while Sidney was at the ranch, she must have butt dialed 911 while on the horse.  When she got off the horse, she called me back, as I had tried calling her.  While we were on the phone, I hear her say, "Oh no, I butt dialed 911, and now all of these strange numbers are calling me.  But, I am not answering any of them."  Of course, I started to freak out.  I told her to get off the phone and answer the next call that comes in OR try calling one of them back.  Talk about feeling not in control of a situation.  By the time she called me back, I was laughing hysterically.  She called one of the numbers back and someone from the sheriff's office answered.  She told him what happened, and he thanked her for calling back.  Later that night, she realized that they had left several messages to the effect that a 'deputy was en route to her location.'.  Yikes!  Dodged that bullet!

Summer Dance Camp.

Kendall attended a 6 day dance camp at ISU.  She had a blast and came home exhausted.  They stayed in the dorms and ate in the food hall.

Here was the view from her dorm room.  Not bad!

One of the activities was a door decorating contest.  She and Abby did not have anything with them, so they scrounged up what they could for this.  They had a daily voting box.

Their creativity won them an award for most resourceful.

They danced their hearts out and got a bit of TLC along the way.

One of the evening's they all hiked up Red Hill.  Kendall said there was a lot of grumbling on the way up, since they were all exhausted.  Once they reached the top and saw the view, all the grumbling stopped.

Nyssa Night Rodeo.

Sidney had a last minute invitation to run flags at the Nyssa Night Rodeo.  Her and Pigeon had never done such a thing.  Mid week she bought herself a flag boot and a button up shirt and went for it.  Flags can be very scary for horses.  We all went out to watch the rodeo and cheer her on.

Her first time through she looked pretty nervous, and she was holding Pigeon back.

After that, it was game on.  She decided to relax and let Pigeon do his thing.

By the end, she was all smiles!

It was a small town rodeo and all heart.  It was a fun evening.

Another Trip Around the Sun.

Not much to say here.  Another year older 'I am' and much wiser 'I think'.  My parents took the girls and I out for dinner at my favorite restaurant, Andrades.

They even made me put the sombrero on.

It was a nice evening, with the people I love.

The Other Stuff.

Noel has really taken Sidney under her wing.  These two have become partners in crime.  Here Sidney is helping Noel with a clinic.

Proof that these two really do love each other:).

To think, I was trimming my roses and these almost ended up in the garbage bag.  Glad I pulled them back out for some enjoyment!

These dogs absolutely love their little bedrooms.

I had two work trip back to back, both to beautiful places.  The first was Pioneer Square in Seattle.

End of Year Banquet.

Echo Studio had their first annual end of the year banquet for their competitive dancers.  It was a formal affair and very fun to get all dressed up.  Kendall found this stunning dress and did her eye makeup to match.

I went for the little black dress look.

There was a photo booth, which was a lot of fun.

The venue was beautiful.  It was great to celebrate all the dancers' hard work.

LIghts, Camera, Action!

Kendall had two solid days of recital and an amazing support system to come cheer her on.  Aunt Stephie, Aunt Sherry, Grandma Terrell, Grandma Karen, Grandpa Mark, Sid and I were all there.  It was a lot of fun to see all the talent and hard work these girls put in.

There were four shows total.  They had a fundraiser in the lobby, and my mom made these amazing cookies.  They were such a hit that they had to ration them out to  make sure they had some for each of the shows.

Sidney sure is a cutie and cleans up nicely:).

Steph and my parents:

Sidney drove us back and forth all weekend.  No one died!

It was so great to have Terrell and Sherry here.  Somehow Sherry did all the picture taking and I have none of her.
