Mustang Mania 2023 - Part 11

Sidney had the privilege to demonstrate all her hard work at the Mustang Mania Competition.  The event was held at the Horse Park at the Idaho Center.  It was a three day affair (four if we would have stayed for the open show).  We loaded up the horses on Thursday and hauled them over to their new home for three days.  Noel was kind enough to let Pam and Sidney use her living quarters, so they would be able to stay there overnight.  This turned out to be a gem, since it was a lot of late night (midnight) and early morning (6am) starts.  Sleep is highly overrated:).

It was so much fun pulling into the park and being greeted every step of the way.

While checking in, we were also fortunate to rent one of the golf carts for our use.

First step was to find Levi's stall.  When we found it, there was a cute little sign on the door.

Sidney went to work unpacking the shavings and filling up the water to get it ready for Levi.

Then it was time to unload Levi and introduce him to his temporary home away from home.

Not too shabby!

After a short while, it was time to get him in line to get his hip number painted on.

Hip #63 and his trainer were ready for business!

After that, Sidney attended the mandatory trainers meeting.  There she received detailed instructions on what the weekend would look like.  She received a copy of the patterns for each event, and she received an AMAZING sway bag.  Matt and Stacey really do a top notch job of putting on this event.

Levi and Sidney were all settled in and ready to go.

Pam joined us that evening, as she had brought her mustang, Lester, back for the competition.
