Last Sunday, Kevin signed both of us up to attend the Marco Rubio rally. He mentioned that we were going to attend to our niece AshLee. She works for the Speaker of the House, Paul Ryan. AshLee is an amazing young woman with an incredible work ethic and a passion for politics.
When AshLee heard that we were attending the rally, she called up one of her friends that works on Rubio's campaign. Kevin received a call a few hours later from a gentlemen on Rubio's campaign that told us to ask for him once we arrived at the rally.
Once we arrived, we were treated like political royalty. We were given a seat in the VIP section located next to the stage. We sat with Senator Risch and his family along with a few other local dignitaries. Toward the end of Rubio's talk, we were escorted behind stage where we waited to meet him and snap a picture. It was such a fun evening. One of the young ladies that works for Mark Rubio told us that she knew AshLee. She spoke very highly of her and referred to her as the "Golden Standard" on the hill. We were very thankful to everyone involved for giving us such a memorable evening!
