Spotlight Dance 2025.

OH MY GOODNESS.  Spotlight.  The last local competition and the last time Kendall competed her solo on stage.  I geared up for a full, fun day by wearing my Echo shirt and comfy leggings.  I was definitely not expecting all the tears that came to fruition, both myself and all of the coaches and dancers.

Kendall did a beautiful job.  She was not super sure about her solo this year, but she decided somewhere along the way to own it and for that I am so proud of her.

The lovely Savana.  She has pushed Kendall to new heights the past couple of years, with a firm but gentle intention.

The Production dance was what killed us all.  I had to hold back the lump in my throat.  Then, I looked over at my mom to see her flat out sobbing.  At that point, I knew I was not alone.  There were a lot of sniffles.  The team received a judges choice award and first overall for this dance.  The emcee asked if that was the seniors that came forward toward the end of the dance.  When the girls said yes, she told them that the emotion was thick and she felt it.  UGH.  I dare to think of what recital will feel like.
