Girls Just Wanna Have Fun!

While Kendall and I were in Disney, Sid was at home holding down the fort.  It was terrible weather in Boise that weekend, but the show must go on.  Sid and Jayde had been practicing for their first performance with their drill team.  Kaycee had gotten injured, so Sabrina let Jayde use Lilly.  They had practiced very hard.  Lilly does not really like drill.  We know this, because she was in Eh Capa and her rider at the time was a beginner.  Things did not go super well.  Jayde has quite a bit more experience and was able to work Lilly through her antics. 

It was pouring down rain (and slush) that day.  The girls got to the arena early.  Sid was upset with me, because I would not let her pull the horse trailer to the Idaho Expo on a Friday afternoon in the crazy weather.  Personally, I think that was a fantastic parenting call, considering her limited experience.  Jayde pulled the horses, as she has years of experience.  Sid got over it and ended up having a great time.

Then the poor horses had to stay tied up at the trailer for a bit before the performance.

The girls hid out in the cab of the truck and transformed into 80's attire for the "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun" performance.

My mom took a video of the performance, so I did not completely miss out.  Here are a few screenshots.  They did great!
