Mustang Mania 2023 - Part 10

 If you read this post before June 30th, you are sworn to secrecy, as Sid does not want to give her surprise away.  She has decided on her theme for the freestyle portion of the competition.  She has been getting started on rounding up props and helping to put together costumes for her and Levi.  Here she is measuring Levi's legs for part of the costume.

Here I am modeling part of the costume.

Grandpa jumped in and helped put together a podium for Levi to stand on.

Hannah and Sidney got to work decorating the podium.

Here is the final product.  They applied the non-skid and all.  The first two pics are the sides that Hannah did.

With a little guidance from Hannah, the resident artist, Sidney painted these two sides.  It turned out amazing!

For the true test, Sid took it to the ranch to see what Levi thought about it.  Easy peasy, he says.  He is truly making all of this look too easy.

Sid will be using some trees for her freestyle.  I managed to get my hands on five very nice fake trees.  Here is Sid introducing Levi to the trees.  He loved getting scratches from them.  However, he was not a fan of stepping over them.  Major bronc moment:).

Sid tried on his costume one piece at a time to make sure he got used to it.  He had no problem with the cuffs or mane.  

He was not too sure about the tail and kept giving it curious glances.  

It was such a fun evening trying all of this out.  I am so thankful to be part of this process!
