Happy Birthday Sidney!

Sidney had several birthday celebrations this year.  Her first party was in Montana while we were camping.  She celebrated with fellow August birthday's; Cousin Cody, Uncle Billy and Aunt Lisa.

Her second celebration was while we were in North Idaho.  She wanted one thing for her birthday this year and it was to have the Build-a-Bear experience.  She did not just want a Build-a-Bear, she wanted to actually go to the store and find out what this is all about.  Here she is washing her stuffed animal.

Next, she tried on several outfits before landing on the perfect one.

She invited Hallie and Kendall to go along with her to build stuffed animals.  At first, I was not sure if Hallie would want to participate, but who can resist a cute little stuffed animal.

The birthday girl got to choose a special accessory.  Sidney wanted this animal carrier.

Then we went to Grandma Karen's for the party.

I tried to get creative this year and make cupcakes with a matching little cake.

Sunbathing bears.

Dylan and Hallie.  How do they grow up so fast?  It seems like yesterday that these two were that little.

The sweet birthday girl.

New hair chalk!

A dolly carrier (or in this case a puppy carrier).

Aunt Stephanie takes the prize again for most fabulous gift.  A fish tank!

Happy Birthday to you!

Party number three was at home on her actual birth date.  Grandma Terrell made this beautiful butterfly cake.

Here is Sidney kissing her new love bird.  She kept telling us about these birds that were pretend, but they acted like real birds.  We thought she was making this up.  Finally after several weeks we figured out what she was talking about.  They are called little live pets.  Grandma Terrell got Sidney one for her birthday.

Oh, the cakes are delightful to watch. It does seem to be a fun day. I must also look for rental spaces for parties for my daughter’s birthday. She also liked to dress up her dolls and play with them. I can take ideas from here for making her day special. Happy birthday to this little one.
