Junk Drawer - June 2025.

Catching a stunning sunset.

I was on a work call one afternoon when Sidney send me this picture of a possum in our truck.

She, Grace and Liza spent the entire afternoon trying to get the possum to leave.  He would not.  Shortly after they gave up and left the house, I saw him drop down from the engine well and head over to Kelly's house.  Kelly was waiting with his live trap.

The Dog Life.

Our dogs sure do have the life.  Bailey weirdly loves basking in the hot sun.

Forget the blind, Bella just pushes it aside to see what is going on in the backyard.

Why not kiss your white dog when you have bright red lipstick on (Kendall)?

Sidney took the dogs on a walk to Dutch Bros (5 miles round trip).  They were so excited to head out.

About halfway home, Bailey decided to take a little break.

Of course, Bella decided to join him.  I think Sidney thought she might have to carry them the rest of the way home.

Sidney just showing off her strength.  I am pretty certain Bailey is not happy about this.

Bailey enjoying some down time.

If loving our dogs is not enough, Sidney falls in love with the dogs at her work too.  I am just forever grateful that these dogs have loving homes, or else I would be in trouble.

Meet Willow.

I am not exactly sure how this happened.  I think it all started with Sidney taking a trip to the Humane Society and sending me pictures of cute kittens.  Then the following week, my co-worker Alex talking about her cats.  Next thing I know, we are taking a trip to IHS to see if any of these cute little kittens steal our heart.  Well that is a stupid thought.  Of course they will.

Meet sweet little Willow.  She is so adorable.  A good combination of playful and cuddly.

I think we were supposed to wait a week to introduce her to the dogs, but they were doing so well, that we just went for it.  Willow is awesome.  She does not run from them.  She just hisses when they get in her space.  They have become fast friends.

Snake River Stampede 2025.

We had the most amazing seats for the Stampede Rodeo this year.  We were directly behind the VIP section on the bucking shoot end.  I always get goose bumps during the start of the rodeo.  It is so much fun going, as we have so many friends that run flags.

Kendall joined us this year.  I could not believe it was her first time.  We have bought her a ticket each year, but something has come up.  This year she was determined and even had to find someone to cover her work shift.

There were so many amazing riders this year, from the Wright brothers (all of them) to Amberley Snyder.

My cousin Ron was able to snag a last minute ticket to join us as well.

Good Times with Kendall.

Kendall has been enjoying her free time now that the school year and dance have ended.

Hanging with Lilly.

Trying the new Italian restaurant with friends.

Hanging with Mikayla.

Enjoying the movies with friends and co-workers.

Discovering the mouse hiding under a car.  Thank goodness NOT at our house.

Exploring with Sidney.

Sidney has definitely become adventurous.  Her and some friends explored the Kuna caves. No way.  All I could think about was a scary movie I had watched that involved spelunking.  I think it was called The Descent.

Sidney and Bailey on a leisurely walk up table rock.

Sidney taking my sister and I on a not so leisurely hike up table rock.  She made it look way too easy.

Hiking with Kennedy.

Chilling after hiking with Kennedy.

Graduation 2025 - Oh, the Places You'll Go!

We decided to wait until all the dust settled from the spring graduations, recitals, competitions, etc before celebrating Kendall's graduation.  We had a lot of family and friends come to town to celebrate with us.  The morning of the party, the men and myself decided to hold our own putt putt tournament.  It was so much fun to start the day of that way!

After that, it was time to get to work preparing for the party.  Kendall chose a Dr. Seuss themed party, Oh the places you'll go!

My mom made the coolest cookies ever!

Kendall did a fantastic job choosing the decorations.

She made this awesome backdrop for photos.

I did not manage to take a single picture.  Thankfully my sister took a few.

After the open house, the girls surprised me with a birthday cake and cards.  It was so sweet of them.  The part I did not like, was Sidney had everyone sign a 'happy 100 years' birthday card.  For real?

My sister and I took the golf cart out for a cruise as well.  It was an amazing graduation/birthday/family/friend weekend!

Oh, and we cannot forget the doggos.  Sidney took them to Camp Bow Wow during the festivities.  They came home so happy and tired!
