Spoiled Pups.

 If I was a dog, I would wish to belong to this family.  These dogs have it pretty good.

The Crash.

 Well, the golf cart bliss was short lived.  Shortly after bringing it home Sid asked if she and Kennedy could take it to Reed's for ice cream and to the ranch.  I told her sure.  I forgot to mention that they are very top heavy.  Apparently they had a fantastic outing.  They were gone several hours, and it was getting dark.  Suddenly my phone rings and it was Kennedy.  She starts by saying, "We are okay...".  That is a sure sign that SOMETHING is not okay.  It turns out, they were on there way home and deep in conversation.  Sidney was going through a residential neighborhood and took a corner too fast.  She could feel the cart start to tip, and overcorrected.  Then she panicked and tried to bail, while being seat belted in.  The cart tipped over.  Kennedy was able to unbuckle and get out.  Sidney had gotten her ankle stuck under the cart.  The neighbors heard the crash and ran out to see what had happened.  They helped lift the cart up.  The girls were pretty shook up.  They stuck around to make sure everyone was okay and waited for them to call me.  The cart was drivable, so I asked Kennedy if she would drive it home, since Sid was a bit hysterical.  I guess she was not too hysterical until Kennedy had said, 'Oh, it looks like only the mirror broke'.  Apparently the neighbor man said, 'There is A LOT more than the mirror that is broke.'  At that point, Sidney lost it, 'My mom is going to kill me!'

The girls made it home safely and proceeded to talk about the incident for the next couple of hours.  Sidney said it was very sobering to see how quickly an accident can happen, whether in a car or a golf cart.  

Kennedy came out unscathed.  Sidney had two very hurt knees and a pretty bruised up ankle.  Thankfully, injuries that ice, ibuprofen and time would heal.  

I called the place where we bought the cart and humbly asked about purchasing replacement parts.  They were SO kind.  The first thing they did was ask if the girls were okay.  They also gave us the parts at what had to have been cost.  Sidney was very grateful, as she was on the hook for the repairs.  They also gave us some wheel spacers that would help widen the wheel base out and make it a little less tippy.  I am happy to report that the cart is up and running again and ready to make memories, hopefully not such chaotic memories for sure!

Let the Golf Season Begin.

We have been having some truly beautiful days.  I went out and hit my first bucket of balls in February.  This seems unprecedented for me.  I am happy to report that my lessons from Phil seem to have stuck.

I should say, me and the rest of Boise had the same idea.  It was a great time though!

When my dad and I went to the golf show, there was a local company that sold lithium ion EV Carts.  I have had my eye on them.  They happened to get in a really nice used one.  Kendall and I went up to Star to give it a test drive and ended up bringing it home.  Yep, another toy.  It is street legal.  Since we do most everything within a five mile radius of our house, this will be so much fun in the summer!

Ranch Life.

 I just love these horses.  They sure do have a good time together as well.  Double trouble for sure.

Sidney and I had a good time jumping the horses over some barrels.  This is nothing for Pigeon.

Levi on the other hand, has zero problem clearing the barrels.  But, he is quite lazy.  He like to walk right up to them and clear them from a stand still.

Levi continues to grow and learn,  Well, we both do actually.

Sidney loves to goof off with these boys.  It is so good for all of them.

This is where it is not so cute.  On one of Levi and Pigeon's outings, Pigeon grabbed ahold of Levi's tail bag (my favorite one) and ripped it right off of him.  Sadness!

I guess it gave me an excuse to go shopping for some new ones.  I found this excellent one on Etsy.

Dutch Friends.

 Kendall has officially switched Dutch stands.  Her old stand made her a super sweet going away gift.

Dutch has been a great place to work.  She has met some great friends.

Her new stand has not disappointed.  It has been as great as the last one.  I will say, this would be a wild place to work.  I am not sure these kids know the meaning of dull moment.
