Junk Drawer - January 2025.

The girls certainly will not help me put the puzzles together, but they will happily tear them apart.  However, not before they lift the puzzle up.

Sidney's friend, Kennedy, is going to cosmetology school.  Sidney has been a happy student for her.  She did a marvelous job on Sidney's hair.

The girls enjoy getting me Color Street nails, and I love using them.  Five minutes, start to finish.

Kendall, on the other hand, does these amazing gel tip nails.

These were done with a cat eye finish, that Aunt Steph got her for her birthday.  It is a magnetic top coat that pushes the particles together.  It is pretty fascinating to watch.

Some of our interior doors have needed a refresh.  They are sprayed on enamel paint, so you cannot just touch them up.  I watched a fantastic youtube video on how to do this.  I tried on a few inconspicuous doors before I went all in on Kendall's door.

I think it turned out pretty well!
We watch the super bowl game this year.  I am happy to report that Kevin's team, the Philadelphia Eagles, won by a landslide.  Bella was super intent on watching the commercials.

My dad and I went to the golf show.  It is always a good time.  He had to tell his friend, the Cobra rep, that he converted to Taylor Made.  We both enjoyed an amazing cocktail and had a great time looking around.

I did snag this cute Callaway beanie.  It is fleece lined and has already come in handy.

Hamilton!!!

I was super excited when my friend Valerie called and let me know they had an extra ticket to Hamilton.  Her son, Josh, is a super fan and secured three very good seats!  We grabbed some dinner beforehand and then headed to the Morrison Center.

I was grateful for the pre-show rundown from Josh.

...and, it did not disappoint!  It was amazing.  I could watch it again.

Dutch and Dance.

Kendall had her first solo competition of the season.  It is always the one to work out the jitters, and she did amazing.

Her possee came out to cheer her on.  I cannot believe this is her senior season.

Bentley has been such a big supporter of Kendall this year.  Trying on a bit of the new makeup...

Kendall talked me into taking adult hip hop with her.  Not sure what I was thinking, as my body really does not pop-n-lock like it once did.  BUT, when your 18 year old daughter asks you to take dance class with her, you say YES.  More to come on this one!

Kendall is starting a new adventure with Dutch.  She will be starting at the Broadway location soon.  She is both nervous and excited for this adventure.

I am sure that the new location will have beautiful sunsets too!

Mustang Mania and Horse Love.

It has been so very muddy at the ranch.  We ordered some mats for Pigeon's shelter.  Sidney worked her butt off, bringing in sand and leveling the footing out for the mats.  It has been a game changer.

January jump show was a success.

Kaycee thought it might be a good idea to ride home in the back of the truck.

Sidney and I spent the afternoon at the BLM Corrals looking at the mustangs up for adoption.  It is such a good thing that I don't have land, or we would be in trouble.  This little yearling was such a sweetheart.  She was coming up to the fence and letting us scratch her all over.

After that dose of baby mustang, we decided to swing by the ranch and see our giant mustang.  It is crazy to think he was that small not too long ago.

Skiing and the Face Plant.

Sid has converted to skiing (versus snowboarding).  I think she is enjoying it quite well.

She is enjoying the adventures of trail skiing.

Kennedy, Claire and Sid have been trying to make it up on Sundays.

Who doesn't go to the movies in their ski pants after a long day on the slopes?

On another front. Sidney and some of her friends went tubing at Eagle Island.  For the last run of the evening, someone came up with the bright idea that they would go down the run standing up in the tube.  Sidney was doing very well...until she wasn't.  She face planted into the side wall of the run.  Apparently, there was blood everywhere.  Thankfully, it was only a flesh wound (bloody nose, bruising and road rash).

The Bone Bar and Hikes.

Sidney's work had a 'bone bar' for the doggos.  She was sure to make our dogs some treats.  They were very excited.

Kendall came down to join in the fun!  The dogs are very treat motivated, as you can see.

Sidney has been taking the dogs on a few winter hikes.  They come home very tired and very dirty.

Sidney took Bailey to work with her.  He thought he was going to get to drive the car home.  Silly pup!

I started to do dog training lessons with Bella.  Predominantly for the socialization aspect, as she was a menace at Camp Bow Wow.  She graduated beginner training, now on to Intermediate.

I do not think these dogs get enough love!

Sidney took them for a walk during one of our very few snow days this year.

For the Love of Levi.

I don't care who you are...he is cute.  It rained for days at the ranch.  There was nearly a lake in the round pen.  What better opportunity to see how Levi feels about walking through water?  He was not sure at first, but after a short investigation (and a few treats for motivation), he was all in.

I was filling up his water one day, and he came over to check it out.  After a few squirts up the nose, he rather enjoyed drinking from the hose.

One of the local trainers held clinics at the ranch in January.  Levi and I participated in both of them.  I made Sid come along, as both Levi and I were a bit nervous at first.  After some settling in, we did wonderful and learned so much!

Yes, that is me bundled up.  It was cold, and I do not like the cold.

Levi and I getting ready to back a circle around our dot.  Fun times!

Saddling him up like a big boy.  He does not seem to mind a bit.  Hoisting that thing up onto this giant beast is no easy task.
