Snake River Stampede 2024.

We went to the Snake River Stampede.  This rodeo is so well done.  It is the best of the best.  On one hand, it is awesome.  On the other hand, it does not always show the grit and character that the small town rodeos show.  That being said, I love it EVERY year.

Unfortunately, my dad woke up sick that morning.  He was not able to go, but he gave his extra ticket to Sidney's friend Claire.  It was Claire's first rodeo.

My second favorite event is bronc riding.  My first favorite event is bareback bronc riding.  I was so enthralled I did not manage to get a picture.

The half time act was insanely awesome.  It was Bobby Kerr Mustang.  This was by far my favorite act ever.  If you ever have a chance to watch him, jump on the opportunity.  He had 2 mustangs, a mustang cross, three dogs and two birds joining his performance.

We were super excited to find out that Fallon Taylor was competing in barrels during the rodeo.

Unfortunately, none of the bull riders were able to hang on for 8 seconds.  Those bulls were tough.

At the end, they brought out a bronc family of horse.  Four generations.

Afterwards, we went over to the horse expo for some food truck lunch, shopping and a fashion show.  I finally had the chance to try a grilled cheese from Meltz.  It did not disappoint!!!  I am already looking forward to next year.

Rodeo Days of Summer.

Sidney has been having the time of her life with her drill team this summer.  They rode in the Vale, Oregon parade and rodeo over the fourth of July.

The team rode all three nights of the Elmore County rodeo in Glenn's Ferry.

Jayde's mom stocked them up with snackle boxes for the trip.

They rode in their blue uniforms the first night.

They rode in their red uniforms the second night.

On Friday, they had some fun with Hawaiian attire.

They stayed late each night to enjoy the fair and rodeo.  Sidney told me she is getting pretty good at bull riding.  Hmm.

Grandma Terrell Visit.

Grandma Terrell surprised us with a visit as well.  It was good to see her.  She had a busy week catching up with many of her Boise friends.  Her last night here, she joined us for the rodeo in Glenn's Ferry.

Fireworks and Family.

We have been fortunate to have so much family visit this summer.  Dylan and Heather came for the Fourth of July.  We set up camp behind Indian Lakes to watch the fireworks.  The mosquitos made an appearance, but I happened to have some lavender spray in my purse from the DC hotel.  Weirdly, it worked!

We were a bit too far to really appreciate the downtown fireworks.

However, the neighborhood fireworks did not disappoint.

Bailey was not the least bit concerned about the fireworks.

Bella was not zonked like Bailey, but she was super chill and enjoying her kennel and toys.
