Memorial Day.

Memorial Day was beautiful and sad at the same time.  Kendall went on her customary camp cleanup weekend with the Nelson's.  Though this year, they returned Sunday evening.  It worked out well, since we were planning to attend the Memorial Day service at the Idaho Veterans Cemetery.  It was amazing.  There were a number of great speakers that talked about our military history.  There was a wreath presentation, the cannons, taps and each branch played their song.

We visited Kevin's burial site while we were there.  It was very emotional, but I know he would have been so proud of the honor that was shown to all those that have served their country.  He was definitely proud of his military service.  During his last week, he talked to me about the things he wanted to be remembered for and service to his country was one of them.  He did that, and he did it well!
