As I may have mentioned in a previous post, the girls took a babysitting class at the local hospital last summer. It was awesome. They learned first aid, along with a number of techniques in dealing with young kids. They also learned tips, such as keeping the house clean and making it fun for the kids. They were instructed to avoid 'BAT'; bribing, arguing, threatening. Sidney made the comment that parents should also be subject to that (umph!).
With their newly earned babysitting certificates, they have been out and about in the neighborhood rounding up jobs. Their first and most loyal customer has been Jackson and Blake. The girls have learned to take the upper hand, without the boys really knowing. It has been awesome. They even managed to get the boys to sleep one night, which their mom said was a miracle.
The girls have been enjoying this time and really making it fun for the boys. Here are some pictures from one of their recent babysitting jobs.
