Junk Drawer - March 2026.

This is my last year as an Angel Donor for the Music Theater of Idaho.  I have very much enjoyed watching these shows the past 6 years.  I have also enjoyed gifting the tickets to friends and family when I cannot make it.  Valerie took her granddaughter and friend to see Frozen.  They dressed up and enjoyed a lovely meal at McDonalds before the show.

My mom got me this beautiful bouquet of flowers.

RIP the clip.

Since Kendall's builder gel nails have been going so well, I decided to give it a try for a work trip.

They turned out great and lasted quite awhile.  I will definitely be doing this again.

On my walk route, this house has been dressing up their skeletons for each holiday this year.  I forgot to snap the valentine's picture, but did remember to stop and snap the St. Patrick's Day get up.

Sunsets and Hot Springs.

Sidney's friend Tessa visited from Canada.  They enjoyed making a lot of memories together.  Claire, Sidney and their friend Parker are planning a road trip to Canada this summer to visit Tessa.

Claire, Sid, Tessa, and Parker drove up to the hot springs on a sunshiny day.

Sidney decided to try some summer highlights in her hair.

It looks amazing and gives her a jump start on her natural summer highlights.

My Family.

My mom, dad, sister and brother in law enjoyed a trip to Puerto Vallarta.  I did not go with them, but they send me tons of pictures.  I really just want to put them here, because I love these people and I am so happy for them.

My sister has been working so hard to eat healthy and take care of herself.  She looks absolutely amazing and I am proud of her.

I am so grateful and joyful that my parents are getting to enjoy their retirement years.

My mom told me about these horses that you could ride on the beach.  She was nervous to do it, but my sister and I said YOLO!  So, she went for it and enjoyed every moment.

All those horse lessons she has watched Sid and I really paid off, as she legit felt relaxed and like she knew what she was doing.

Flash Tattoos and Daisies for Dad.

There has been a Friday the 13th two months in a row this year.  Of course, that means flash tattoos.  To be honest, I did not even know this was a thing until recently.  Kendall decided to get herself a new tattoo with 'oranges'.  I think these are symbolic to her and bring her joy.

Kendall was having a tough rainy day recently.  She decided to pick up some daisies and go visit with her dad at the cemetery.  It was literally pouring, but when she arrived at the cemetery, the blue skies made their way through.  She was able to sit for a bit and reflect.  It was just what she needed.

As she got in her car to leave, the clouds rolled back in and the rain started coming down once again.

What better way to feel refreshed than to get your hair done?

It turned out beautifully!

Kendall has been trying her hand at builder gel.  It is supposed to be good for your nails and helps to prevent biting and picking at them.

Squirrel sighting.

Kendall and her friends decided to enjoy a bonfire on one of these beautiful spring evenings.

Lazy Puppies.

A dog's life.  It must be nice to sleep all day.

I left the door to Kendall's old room (my new sewing room) open the other day.  Bella decided to make herself at home.

Willow is pretty sure she is a dog.  I promise you that she is not this big.  This picture is an illusion.

Food, Drinks and a Cabinet Makeover.

My mom took Kendall to get groceries (before she got the green light to drive).  They saw this cute little pitcher and glass set with oranges.  My mom gifted the set to Kendall.

It has been nice to be back in her apartment and get back to her routines and 'meal prep'.  She started by making her delicious egg bites for breakfast.

Kendall took her boot out for a night on the town to help her friend celebrate her birthday.

Diego and Kendall took DQ up on their free national cone day.  They enjoyed a vanilla cone dipped in mint chocolate chip.

Kendall's pantry has been making her crazy.  It is very narrow and deep, so she feels like food gets lost in there.  She decided to purchase some clear bins and give it a makeover.

Duck Alley.

Sidney has longed to go to Duck Alley at Spurwing.  It is a cross country jumping course.  Riders must go with trainers, so Sidney jumped at the opportunity when she received an invitation from Carpe Diem Dressage.  It was all she had hoped and imagined.

She and Pigeon are coming along nicely.  Look at this form.

What a beautiful sunset picture.  I think they call this the golden hour.

Levi and I have been doing so great.  I just love this horse.

I have been enjoying saddling him and riding him, all by myself:).

We look pretty legit!

Spring has arrived.

Signs of springtime have started poking through.  Here are my beautiful tulips opening up.

Last year, I bought this amazing dahlia pot at Costco.  The dahlia's were yellow, red and corral.  Last fall, I threw the bulbs in a plastic target bag, almost as an afterthought.  I had completely forgotten about them.  A few weeks bag, I was cleaning in the garage and found the bag.  I opened it up to find that the bulbs had sprouted.  I stuck them in an old pot I had with some soil.  They are really thriving and growing each day.  The dahlia lady, on you tube, tells me to wait until after the last frost before moving them outside.  I am kind of excited to see how this goes.

Kendall invited me to join her and her friends at the Boise Flower and Garden show.  I just love this event, but frankly, have not attended the past few years.  Likely, because we were out of town for dance.  It was SO much fun and did not disappoint.  I love looing at all the fun and beautiful things.  I also thoroughly enjoy the bonsai room.

The farmers market has opened back up.  Kendall and Diego got this cute little caricature drawing.

With springtime, I am inspired to make my list of projects.  A big one on the list this year...staining the fence.  I believe this has not been done since 2011.  It has held up pretty well, but is definitely showing signs of wear.

I took advantage of some of the nice early spring days and got most of it done.  It looks so much better and did not take a tremendous amount of effort.
